Production Notes: This was our second film. From
concept to completion the production lasted three months. Most of the time was dedicated to outlining every camera angle, and designing and acquiring costumes and props. Probably should’ve paid more attention to acting. We made this for our 11th grade English class and the story is very, very loosely based on a couple pages from the book “Band of Brothers.”

the last patrol is the name of a band of brothers episode
leibgut is also from band of brothers
This is based off a couple pages from a chapter in the Band of Brothers book. FYI, the episode called “The Last Patrol” in the mini-series had a different title when it was originally aired. We didn’t “steal” it.
I don’t understand why there are only 4 guys in both the U.S. and the German side of every WWII short film I see….LOL
lol yeah, 15 year old soldiers, and one of thems asian. YAAAY!!!
Not bad, if you ignore the guns and uniforms. Are you guys reenactors now?
I’ve heard of Asians in the Marines during that time, most notably Japanese, but not in the Army, or for that matter as Airborne Infantry.
wrong uniformsthe 101. airborne division had the m42 reenforcedjumpsuits during their operations in normandy the m43 uniform you guys are wearingwhere issued shortly before operation market garden(holland)

Gosh i hate it when people wont shut up about how the uniforms arnt exactly perfect.. Who cares?? Its a good video thats all i care about.
ver welly done i enjoyed and crap with the guys who think itys horrible
This Video is not bad but the Uniforms the Weapons and the tactics are wrong.
what is an asian guy doing in france?
the last patrol was the name of an episode of band of brothers
one of them guys are wearing pajamas…
didn’t know they made semi-automatic 1903 springfields with the bolt still attached…
lol the quote is wrong it is not by shakespere it is by king henry the third
i didnt know the lee enfield was semi automatic …
Great acting. The Seargent did perform the best. My opinion. Great Job!
it wasnt lol
i kno lol
You should enter the GI Film Festival. Check out their website. Great job.
awesome video man. I just posted up my new world war 2 movie its called Against All Odds The Squadron. its divided into 3 parts, please check it out and tell me what you think.
The marines did not fly P47s in the pacific theater.. only the US Army air corp flew them. It was mostly used to escort B17 and B24 on bombing missions over Germany, They were used in the pacific theater , but by only a few squadrons. Good short movie by some up and coming actors and directors. the kid playing sarge is outstanding,,we will hear about this young man again in the future
that was awsome but what was with the guy wearing white pants?
lol they’re a very alert patrol
the only thing that is wrong with the Sergeant is his way of talking. if he talks like that really I’ve never heard that.
if its meant to be normandie why you all wearing the m43 attire?
cool vid! 5/5 where did you get the guns? and the uniforms?
Wow very nice, you are talented. Very well made, although shot at the beggining stared the s..outa me aswell lol.
people u wouldnt expect join the military man. he sounds like he didnt expect to be put into the shit and well he did and survived.
Ok, good but bad acting and pronounciation. That’s all you need to work on.
somewhat corny but good.
sarge sounds a little like dan ackroyd
oh,i get it now, it’s a flashback, the guy that is closing his eyes at the begining is the guy at the end,so he’s remembering what happend before he passes out.Cool movie u made. :]
Very good man :)
this is solid, man
I’m 16 myself and I’m getting ready to film my WW II film in April, wish me the best of luck, and by the way, this was really good for your first WWII film, mine will be about the rangers not Airborne though.
cool :) im trying my hand at a feature
That was pretty sweet, but I wish the guys had some emotion towards their fallen comrades. And a weird coincedence, MY asian friend that I shoot movies with last name is also Ng. 0_o
What editing program do you use?
pretty good for an amateur video, just one thing that pisses me off, and its not your fault cause hollywood probaly told you how its done, but you NEVER never reply to a Sergeant or any NCO as “Sir” I know thats how it goes for the army and im pretty sure thats how it works in the rest of the branches as well. You reply with the either “Sarge” or pefreably “Sergeant”
not bad, but youre german uniforms suck
Nor very epic at all.
really nice make-up and the actors are talented, i also like the scenes between the characters, they give a human spirit to the movie and it’s an important thing in a war movie, on the other hand, uniforms are not really fantastics…
if u played cod they call sergeant “sarge’ too so hollywood not that good at facts except for the true story movies
