SUPERHEROES: prehistory…
Here’s one for the SUPERHEROES fans. Before there was Episode 1 there was QPAHGRPF (Quaylar Peter and His Gamma Radiation Producing Fridge), a short film Jared and I made for one of Chad Peter’s NP2k.com contests. We ended up taking 1st place. After the contest Chad decided to launch NP2k TV and we partnered to produce SUPERHEROES as an ongoing series. NP2k TV fell through before we even completed our first episode, but, as you all know, we didn’t let that stop us from finishing the whole series! Watch QPAHGRPF after the jump!
Before we released Episode 1 to the masses, I removed QPAHGRPF from the internet as to not confuse viewers. As you’ll see there are many lines and situations that we re-used in the SUPERHEROES series. “Reused them poorly,” Jared might add. But anywho, enjoy!
I’ve quoted this movie more than any of your other films put together. I may have quoted it than any other single movie in history.
Mainly because I just say “God, Fig’s a bastard” a lot.

So the philosophical disposition of muffins came later. And you went from email to snail mail? Hmmm…
You’ll also notice that Quaylar is the dumb one and Lucas isn’t. That was reversed for SUPERHEROES. Another funny note: we shot half of Episode 1 with Jared as Quaylar. Then he had to back out due to work conflicts and we moved Andrew from Dr. Battle to Quaylar.
