Pulitzer Prize of College Journalism

Last week in Washington D.C., the Associated Collegiate Press announced the nation-wide winners for their Online Pacemaker Award. The Pacemaker is considered to be the pulitzer prize of college journalism. And who’s a winner in non-daily newspapers? Yes, The Collegian Online. I’ve been waiting to hear about this since our editor-in-chief submitted the paperwork in May. This is very cool. We did win 1st place awards from the California College Media Association before this, but the Pacemaker is a nation-wide competition. I worked really hard for over a year to overhaul the site, and this kind of recognition definitely makes me feel good. It’s makes those 3 years of posting news articles until 2 a.m. all worth it.

  1. Well, there you go. Although you couldn’t be there when it happened, I’m sure they know that they owe this award ENTIRELY to you. Congrats, man! You really paved the way. Nice addition to your resume, huh?
