“Fresno Swede Fest The Second” took place today! We had such an awesome and enthused crowd for the first one that we decided to organize another ASAP. This time it was held it in a little (former) cafe in Fresno’s Chinatown (Yes, Chinatown, revitalization is happening!). Slightly bigger crowd this time, same number of entries, but all and all it was a good show! Greetings folks. In between working on our new project EFARI, I found some time to be part of a new Fresno podcast called ‘The DUmb’ created by Roque Rodriguez (aka. Brodiemash). We talked about all things MOVIE (Academy Awards, upcoming summer blockbusters, future of movie theaters, digital distribution, and more!). So I forgot to post a blog yesterday, my bad. Not much is going on. The only thing I’m thinking about right now is my sore throat and how crappy the air quality is down here. And I’m from Fresno, I should be used to it! But eleven simultaneous fires just barely beats out a normal central californian day. Additionally, this guy in the apartment next door insists on smoking around 5 cigars a day right outside my window. But I think he’ll be dying soon and that problem will be solved.
That’s right. Part of the new Indiana Jones movie (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) is being shot in Fresno at the downtown Chandler Executive Airport this Thursday! Read more about it at ABC30.com. Now let’s discuss… how the hell did this happen, and why am I not in Fresno and able to sneak onto the set? I feel like leaving work right now and driving back. That’s how amazingly awesome this news is.Â
